Today I’m sharing a special recipe straight from Grandma Chef’s oven: a wholesome, flourless bread made with oats and chia seeds — perfect for those who crave flavor and health in every bite.

 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup plant-based milk (almond, oat, or your favorite)

Instructions:

  1. Add the egg and plant-based milk, stirring until the mixture is smooth and well blended.

  2. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes so the chia seeds can absorb the liquid and help bind the dough.

  3. Pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined loaf pan.

  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.

  5. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly… and enjoy!

Grandma’s Tip:

This bread is perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack. Try it with homemade jam or a drizzle of olive oil with herbs — simply delicious.

Why This Oat and Chia Bread Is So Special:

  • Lower glycemic index than white bread, helping regulate blood sugar levels.

  • Rich in protein and healthy fats, making it a more balanced option for meals or snacks.

  • Crunchy texture from the chia seeds and the heartiness of oats.

  • No need for preservatives — homemade means natural and nourishing.
